TECHNIQUES 2026 WITH CHARLOTTE DE WITTE

Techniques is back, and this time Charlotte de Witte is at the centre of it. On Saturday 5 December the Belgian techno star headlines Techniques 2026 at Telekom Center Athens, turning the arena into one of the biggest indoor techno nights of the Greek winter. The music runs from 23:00 until 08:00, with more names still to be announced.

Who Is Charlotte de Witte

Born in Ghent in 1992, Charlotte de Witte started DJing as a teenager and was only 18 when she won a radio DJ contest that put her on stage at Tomorrowland. For her first years she released music as Raving George, a name she chose to get around the prejudice female DJs often faced, before dropping the alias in 2015 and stepping forward under her own name. Her early breakthrough “You’re Mine”, with fellow Belgian Oscar and the Wolf, put her on the map, and the bookings have never slowed down since.

KNTXT and a Record Breaking Career

In 2019 she launched KNTXT, a label and event brand built around dark, raw and driving techno. It has become one of the most important names in the genre, with parties around the world and releases from artists such as Chris Liebing. In 2024 she added Époque, a label for remixes of classic Belgian tracks. Along the way she won Best Techno Artist at the DJ Awards, held a residency on BBC Radio 1 and became the first woman and the first techno artist to close the main stage at Tomorrowland.

The Sound

Charlotte de Witte’s sets are known for their focus and pressure. Expect hard punching kicks, hypnotic loops and dark, almost haunting atmospheres, delivered with very few breaks. She can play long and she plays with total control, which makes her perfect for a night like Techniques that runs until the morning. Her fan base keeps growing as techno moves from clubs to arenas, but her sound has stayed true to the underground she came from.

Techniques at Telekom Center Athens

Techniques has built its name as an indoor techno event with big production, and the 2026 edition promises immersive visuals and state of the art sound to match the headliner. Telekom Center Athens gives it the space of an arena with the feel of a club night, which is exactly the format that suits a Charlotte de Witte show. If you are planning other big nights this season, Anyma also brings ÆDEN to OAKA on 31 October.

Tickets

Tickets for Techniques 2026 are available through More.com. With Charlotte de Witte on the bill and the date falling on the first big weekend of December, demand is expected to be high, so it is worth booking early rather than waiting for the last week.

What to Expect

Expect a long, intense night with one of the most consistent DJs in techno at the controls. Arrive in time for the support acts, let the room warm up, and save your energy for the peak hours when the headliner takes over. If you want a reminder of what she does on a big stage, her set in the video below is a great place to start.

Why It Matters

Athens has hosted plenty of big techno names over the years, but arena shows dedicated purely to techno are still rare. Techniques fills that gap by giving the genre a full scale indoor production in the middle of winter, long after the open air season is over. Bringing in an artist of Charlotte de Witte’s level shows how much the audience for techno in Greece has grown, and it gives fans the chance to see one of the genre’s defining DJs without travelling abroad.
